Exploring the Unexplored...

This is my personal tour diary of the Lakshadweep trip.. I am gonna try to make it as short as possible.. But the length of the trip and the amount of enjoyment cannot be shortened much, so here it goes..

Since the start of my professional life more than 3 years back, i had been to quite a few trips.. None were as unique as this one.. Since childhood i have always dreamt of travelling on a cruise(more than on an aeroplane) and visiting an island.. Both my dreams were satisfied in one go..

But there was one disappointment that we were not able to enjoy the night time view of the sky, because of the incessant rains and cloud cover during nights(started raining just the day we started our trip :().. This robbed us of our sunrise and sunsets as well.. On the brighter side the days were pretty cool with just the cloud cover and no rain, meaning there is no sun as well..

The trip started with the 7 of us.

Boyzz, Monks, SPB, MoMS, Finny, PPR, Tintin

Day -1:

We had our train from Bangalore to Cochin at 5.45PM on 24th of November.. We passed our time on the train by playing UNO Card game.. We had our dinner and decided to sleep early as our train was supposed to reach at 4.30AM the next day..

Day 0:

We reached Eranakulam junction by 4.45AM in the morning.. Were supposed to report to the Lakshadweep office well after 8.30, so we thought of charging our mobiles and taking rest.. After resting for around 1 hour, we had our breakfast in the Railway station and started at around 7AM to the Lakshadweep office, which is some 10 kms from the railway station, on reaching the office we came to know that the office wont be opened before 9AM. So we started roaming around the cochin port..
At Cochin port

After a while we came back to the office and collected our cruise tickets and got a complimentary t shirt and a cap..
From there we were taken to the check point where our tickets were checked and luggages scanned.. Here we met a Lithuanian named Tom who had come on a tour to India.. Then we boarded the Cruise and got a feel of it..
Our majestic cruise

Lunch was served around 1PM and the ship started at 3.15PM.. Thus started my first cruise journey and Lakshadweep was awaiting my arrival :D..
On the way out of the port we sighted few dolphins merrily swimming in the ocean.. This was my first time seeing dolphins out of captivity..
Freshened up and came out hoping to see a nice sunset, but it was not the case due to the cloud cover.. Then we had our snacks and started playing UNO again till our dinner was served.. Then after dinner we again went to the top deck to get some fresh air and sat down chit chatting..
This became our daily sitting place.

We decided to play Dumb charades, and since Tom was also accompanying us we decided to guess only on Hollywood movies.. And we had an awesome time enjoying the different acting styles and the great guessing of SPB.. Had our dinner, we went off to our cabins and had a good night sleep..

Day 1:

Woke up early in the morning in hope of seeing sunrise, but the cloud cover made it almost impossible for the sun to shows its face to us.. After getting over the disappointment, we were able to see our first island, Kadmat it is..
Kadmat Island visible in the cloudy sunrise

We had our breakfast and we boarded a small boat which was to ferry us to the main island, since the island is surrounded by Lagoons and coral, the cruise could not reach the shore.. It was still drizzling and after enquiring with the locals we were disappointed to know that scuba diving wont be good in this weather..

Thus we set foot on the first island, drenched completely.. We were welcomed with welcome drinks, coconut water(would have preferred hot tea in that weather :P).. Then we were informed that we were to be briefed about the activities by the tour manager in some time.. But we were in no mood to wait for it.. For almost 18 hours we were completely surrounded by water, but not able to jump in it.. Now was the chance and we grabbed it with both hands, actually whole body :D.. All of them wore life jackets and me being the bond who knew swimming jumped in the ocean just like that..

We played for some time trying to hit each other with the volley ball we got.. Some got nice hits on the face and some acted as if they got seriously injured :P though nothing happened.. Then we were told that we were to go for a snorkelling session, a guy was to accompany us and show us corals and fishes.. We were given instructions of how to breathe with the snorkel.. For the next 1 hour we were taken one by one into the ocean for sight seeing :) while others were still enjoying the swim and some were posing for the cameras..
Torturing the natural inhabitants

Then we were informed that kayak'ing can be done on the other side of the island.. The island was not even 100 meters in width so we had no problem in reaching the other side.. Then we started our session.. Since there were 7 of us, i volunteered to risk myself with a single kayak while others took a double one.. Thus started our journey alone into the sea.. We kayak'ed for the next hour or so, making all others wait for us to return.. I personally thoroughly enjoyed this one..

After more photo sessions, we went to enquire about scuba diving as the climate now had become good, clouds clearing and sun deciding to show its face.. They told it will cost 2.5K for a 20 minute session at 2 meter depth, which we thought was not worth is, as we expected it to be at least 10 meters depth.. And there was only one diver to guide us, so we wouldn't be able to do it simultaneously.. Due to these reasons we thought against diving..

Then we had our lunch and while others took some rest, me and monks played a game of TT.. After some rest we started playing volleyball until they called us for a trip around the island to visit some local factories and the north most point of the island.. After returning each one of us split and went their own way alone in the beach.. This was when i built my marvellous sand castle.. I don't remember when was the last time i built a sand castle.. PPR was jealous of my castle and made sure that he took his castle's snaps more than mine :P..
My sand castle

The best we could see of the sun setting

That's it for the day, and we were called to board the boat which would take us to the cruise.. Again it started drizzling and became cloudy, to ruin our sunset once more.. Had a nice hot water shower and went up the deck once more.. This time Tom had stayed back in Kadmat for a longer trip, so we didn't worry about playing antakshari.. This was one funny and enjoyable antakshari with songs from 4 different languages(Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada) being sung by chorus voices.. This continued for the next 1 hour or so, and we went for our dinner.. After dinner we continued our trend of playing cards.. This time around we changed to playing poker.. And we went to sleep around 10PM thus ending an eventful day..

Day 2:

Again as usual, the day started enthusiastically at 5AM in the morning, in hope of catching a glimpse of the rising sun.. But alas it was not to be the day.. Just the same old disappointment of getting up early to no avail.. Had our breakfast and got ready to board the boat which would take us the next island Kalpeni.. Here again we had the same old welcome drinks.. After that we were taken to a smaller island nearby, this time in a smaller boat :o..
Enjoying the welcome drinks :)

Here we were to do snorkelling and kayaking.. Since the other day we had a long session of kayaking and we were more interested in snorkelling, we decided on snorkelling.. We snorkelled for a very very long time, going around the back water, looking out for different kinds and colors of fishes and corals.. After this we were again taken back to the main island, where we had our lunch and started playing volleyball..
Insides of the lighthouse

After that we were taken for local tour, visiting factories, lighthouses and the north most point of this island as well.. The view was fabulous here, and i was able to collect lots of shells..
Sri krishna parmathma trying to start a war :P

We never wanted to leave this place.. But forcefully we were evicted as others were waiting for us..

Then there was a delightful folk dance done by the locals, where a 73 old man was dancing so enthusiastically that i got floored by him.. His energy levels, stamina were so good that even though people younger than him were taking longer breaths he was still smiling and dancing gracefully..
Posing with the folk dancers

Then we had to leave the island for the cruise, and again it was cloudy thus depriving of our well deserved sunset..
This was again reserved by us for our club

On reaching the cruise we started playing poker again.. Continued the same after dinner, and slept at around 10PM thus ending our day..

Day 3:
Again the same old story till the welcome drinks, so i am not repeating it.. But this time the cruise was very near the island.. This island being Kavaratti the capital of lakshadweep.. It is a completely commercial island.. Our first trip today was a glass boat ride.. Since it cannot accommodate all the tourists at the same time, we decided to go last.. We played football for sometime, throw ball with a human monkey :P for some time..

Then we saw a normal looking girl, who was glorified due to the non availability of any girls for the past 3 days, and all 6 of us sat and started sight'fying her.. After some time we got bored and went the co-ordinator to enquire about availability of other water sports.. Oh yeah you might be wondering why i mentioned only 6 of us right!!.. PPR was sitting far away from us, thinking that even looking at a girl will make god prick his eyes :P.. (Lyt ra PPR feel avvaku)..
Me kayaking

We came to know that there were no other water sports other than the same old snorkelling and kayaking.. Since kayaking was already included in our package, we went for it.. By the time we came back to the shore, our glass boat was ready to take us for a ride, and we were able to see lots of different species of fishes in the deep sea.. Scuba diving at this place would have been awesome.. Missed scuba diving :'(..

We came back to the island and were treated with another folk dance show this time by kids of the island.. That's it.. Our Lakshadweep trip was abruptly ended.. We had to go back to the cruise.. Some of us took a last dip in the sea and boarded the cruise full wet.. Took a hot water shower and went to the top deck to catch a glimpse of the last possible sunset, and even that was not visible.. Then we had our dinner and played a game of UNO and slept early feeling sad that the trip ended so soon..

Day 4:

This time only 3 of us woke up early in the morning to catch a glimpse of the rising sun.. Though it was not a great one, it was more than what we could see the previous days.. But none of us had cameras and by the time we woke up the other guys, it was gone, poye pochu..
A glimpse of the sun rise

We had our breakfast and awaited our arrival to cochin port which we did arrive at around 11AM.. On the way we sighted few more dolphins..
The only dolphin we were able to capture thru our cam

We roamed around cochin for the next few hours and boarded our bus at 5.45PM.. Our bad luck, the tyre got punctured and delayed the bus by an hour.. Next day morning we reached Bangalore and back to boring office..

To summarize it, it was great trip.. Enjoyed the first time cruise ride.. Food was very very good,, Enjoyed snorkelling and kayaking.. Folk dances were good.. Sceneries were awesome.. It is a must go for those who want to try something different other than the same old trekking's and hill stations..

Freak Man!!!!

Seeing the post title, everyone would be expecting a classic similar to Batman, Superman and things like that.. But this post has nothing to do with just any super-human (As i am a double super human :D).. This is just some idiotic ramblings by a totally jobless idiot (Though nowadays i am getting very less Jobless minutes :'()..

My friend uploaded a picture of mine in FaceBook, which can give tough competition to all the Egyptian Mummies.. My head was totally covered in bandages, yea i am exaggerating :P.. Remembering that nostalgic day, made me realize that many of the injuries i had are freakish to say the least..

Title :
Freak Injuries

Episode 1: Location - Terrace
It was a sunny day, and we were playing a nice game of cricket.. I was batting on zero .. A nice in-swinging Yorker was bowled.. I played a nice looking defensive shot and was posing for the cameras (I know that details are not needed, but how else can i elongate the post huhh ;)).. Suddenly i could see a fielder dashing in, trying to knock the stumps.. He did manage to knock them off, not the stumps though but my teeth.. The next moment i was running with a tooth in my hand and he was following me crying and pleading to not to complain to my parents :P..

Episode 2: Location - Classroom
I was the leader of my class.. It was the teacher on whom i had a crush :D.. She asked me to collect the answer sheets from the class, and so i obeyed.. In my enthusiasm i tripped over a bag lying on the floor and BHAM!, i fell, my jaw hitting the corner of a desk and a deep cut in my chin.. I still got up and gave the answer sheets to my teacher, who was looking at my blood dripping face, horror struck :)..

Episode 3: Location - College Mess
This is by far the most freakish accident i ever had, and it was the first time ever i had stitches.. We were having our lunch in the mess.. The guy sitting next to me was making fun of the guy sitting opposite to him.. All this time i opened my mouth only for eating, was not even listening to what they were talking.. That guy got so much agitated that he threw the steel tumbler which he had in his hand towards the guy sitting next to me.. Yea right his aim was so good (we were not even a meter apart), that i hit me flat on the head, the top edge of the tumbler drilling into my skin and blood oozing out.. Had 4 stitches.. Gave treat to everyone in the hostel for this incident :P..

Episode 4: Location - Bangalore Streets
This is one incident where all my friends had a very good laugh hearing about, and no one believed the incident as i described.. I am sure no one will believe even now.. It was around 7 in the evening, and i was already agitated, coming out of a completely useless AMWAY meeting.. The streets were dark and i was walking alone and no living creature visible.. Suddenly something stinged my leg..
At first i thought, by mistake my leg touched the silencer of a bike standing nearby, but when i turned back to check, to my horror a dog was running giving nasty glares at me.. Then i realized that it was the dog which bit me :P.. At first i thought that it was the AMWAY guys who sent the dog behind me :D, since i came in the middle of the meeting without even listening to them.. There it was, my first dog bite.. I was just walking silently, it came from behind, bit me and ran off.. I did not throw stones at it.. It did not stamp on its tail.. But still :(

Episode 5: Location - Kaveri river
It was supposed to be a fun bike ride.. But it ended halfway.. Due to over enthusiasm i jumped into the water without changing to shorts.. When i realized that and was coming back to the shore to change, just walking, my leg finger got cut.. A part of my finger was dangling and i lost at least a litre of blood :D.. It required 7 stitches and the bike trip had to be cancelled because of that..

These are just some major episodes.. I didn't want to drag this like an Indian daily soap, so stopping it short and sweet :P...

Hoping nothing freakish happens in the Lakshwadeep trip :P..

Deepavali aka Diwali aka The festival of lights!!!!

Hi ya folks, happy deepavali to all of ya........ :D

Deepavali used to be the most awaited festival of our childhood days, at least true in my case!! But the enthu has totally fizzled out the older i got.. Now diwali has become nothing but, 2 to 3 days off from office life, go home, have nice feast, eat lots of sweets, sleep well and fatten yourself up..

Part of this is because of all these rules banning high decibel crackers, due to the noise pollution it causes.. Who the hell is going to burst some bijili crackers huh.. The only good thing about Diwali nowadays is the night time view of the sparkling rockets, decorating the whole night sky...

Gone are the days, when even though u step on a live stone cracker and have a nice burn on your foot, you still burst crackers by sitting on a chair, rather than taking rest..

Gone are the days, when we used to prepare manja for kite thread..

Gone are the days, when we used to run around the streets waiting for kites flying all around to fall down..

Gone are the days, when we used to have kite fights, the whole building gathering in the terrace, shouting if someone tries to cut the thread hanging over their terraces when a serious kite fight is going on..

Gone are the days, when being in a room full of crackers an idiot throws a live sparkler into the room making the whole box of crackers go on for the next 10 mins with me still being inside.. Swearing that idiot for the next 10 mins even though i could not hear what i was speaking, hearing some trumpet blowing for the whole time..

Gone are the days, when during our rocket fights with other buildings, by mistake we burned up the the dry leaf shelter which they had put on the terrace of a school building and running down so that no one blames us :P..

It was all good when i was in the middle of all these things.. But now the same thing which i enjoyed during my childhood days, annoys me, making me swear whenever i hear a loud bang outside :(..

Hoping for a wet and damp diwali, without any noise and happy sleeping :P.. Just kidding...

I know there are still those who enjoy doing all these.. So atleast for that reason, i will plug my ears and let them enjoy their share of diwali ;)..

Have a crackling diwali...

A Jobless Idiot who is gonna go deaf for the next 3 days :P..

PS: Ya, i forgot, our company gave a humongous sweet box as diwali gift, which helped satisfy a poor little boy's hunger.. Thanks a ton :D

Mission Possible -------------------- KP

Objective:
A trek on the western ghats, starting from Bidahalli, via Kumara Paravatha peak and ending in the temple town of Kukke

Levels:
There are four levels in this mission..
Level 1: Bidahalli to Forest office at the base of KP.
Level 2: Forest office to KP Pushpagiri peak.
Level 3: KP Pushpagiri peak to bhatra mane(Girigadhe).
Level 4: Bhatra mane to Kukke.

Players:

Praveen:
An enthusiastic player who will always be in the first group to reach any place..
Boyz:
The player with the lightest luggage..
Raghav:
The silent and efficient one
Nithin:
The photographer

These 4 players are the best ones to play this mission with.. They will always reach first and without any problems.. Now there are 3 back markers who will always be the last, whatever maybe the scenario..

PPR:
So fragile that the player gets injured too often.. Has starting and finishing trouble.. But above average player in the middle..
Chick Pooja:
Just the opposite of PPR, very enthusiastic in the starting and ending, otherwise always in the bottom 2.. Even a snail can walk faster..
MoMS:
Always the last and the slowest.. No one would dare to chose him..

Obstacles:
There are many obstacles.. Some of the prominent ones are torrential rains which makes the route slippery, the route itself, the unknown unseen wild animals and last but not least the blood sucking leeches

Weapons and Boosters:
Some of the energy boosters available are Chocolates, Biscuits, water and lots of other food items.. Once Level 3 is completed there is a big energy booster available at Bhatra mane.. Now coming to weapons, most of the weapons availble are to counter the least dangerous obstacle, that is leeches.. Salt, Tobacco, sunna being some.. The player Chick Pooja has an extra weapon, a kitchen knife.. Out of all the players available, PPR, Chick Pooja and Nithin are loaded with the most weapons while Praveen and MoMS are the ones with the least weapons..

I being the underdog supporter chose the weakest player among all, i.e, MoMS.. Yes the slowest one, but there is a saying that 'slow and steady one wins the race'.. mmm i know that this is no race.. but i liked the proverb :D.. Let the mission begin..

Even after reading all the junk above, if you want to continue reading, this is where the real trekking experience starts :P ;)..

It all started with uncertainty because of the Ayodhya verdict.. But somehow it did not get cancelled.. The real trip started with us meeting at Majestic bus stand.. I had not met Praveen and Harish(Boyz), so we had a little intro session.. Mmmm nothing but asking names :).. We took the 11 PM bus from Bangalore to Somwarpet.. The bus reached Somwarpet at around 6 AM the next morning where we had a nice breakfast.. The bus to Bidahalli was at 7.15 AM and it took around 1 hr to reach Bidahalli..

From Bidahalli we had to walk for around 5 kms to the base forest office.. On the way we found a nice little stream and we just couldn't resist the water and so we all jumped into it and took a refreshing dip..

After freshening up we continued our long and tiring journey towards the peak..

Then we reached the Forest office where they charged an entry fee of 115Rs per head.. Harsha(Chick Pooja) cracked a PJ asking if it is 115Rs per head, then how much will it cost for Ravan.. ( :P i know this is not needed)..

I just wanted to add it somewhere.. Totally impressed with the photography skills :)

From here started the real trek into the dense leech infested jungle.. Some of us had taken precautionary measures by wearing 2 pairs of socks, Harsha even had a layer of plastic cover in-between the 2 pairs.. Some applied tobacco all over their legs, painted sunna on their shoes, carried loads of salt, just in fear of a tiny little bug :o..

The trek was not a difficult one.. But for some reason Prasanna(PPR) was getting very tired in the beginning after some 3 kms trekking.. I asked him 2 to 3 times, that if he is really not feeling well, then we can go back.. I so wanted to go back for no valid reason.. I just wanted my Iron Leg legacy to continue :D..

If we even wait for some seconds, there will be atleast some 5 leeches trying to suck our blood.. So we could never a long break unless we find a big enough rock.. On such rocks the number of leeches will be drastically less..

In one such break, Praveen gave us all a Horlicks nutribar.. I donno if it was because of the bar or the rain which had started during the break, but suddenly Prasanna was full of energy..

The trek was really simple till this time.. But there were some 2 huge rocks which we had to climb.. They were inclined at around 20 - 30 degrees and it was slippery which was made even worse by the rains.. Somehow we managed to climb and reach the top of the peak at around 4.30 PM completely drenched and happy to have finished 7 kms trek.. And the view was simply wow..

Since it was raining continuously we wanted to put up the tents as early as possible.. But one of the tents was not proper, so we hatched a plan and made harsha, praveen and harish to sleep in that one :P..
The right side tent was perfect..

We went inside the tent which was too small for 4 of us to fit :(.. Somehow we went inside and had something to eat and took rest.. And the timing was also perfect, we viewed this amazing sunset.. It was really worth all the pain..

Prasanna was boasting till then that he never had a leech bite.. And just inside the tent he had 5 leech bites and we 3 were not even disturbed by the leeches :P.. We played UNO for some time and slept off at around 7.30 PM.. The tent and sleeping bags were not water proof, so we all were sleeping while getting soaked.. And the tent was not big enough to accommodate us all, so we could not stretch our legs :(.. Somehow we managed to sleep and i had a sound one..

The next morning we woke up to see the sunrise.. But this is all we could see due to dense fog cover..

We packed the tents and all our things and started the trek down.. This is where we made the first and only mistake.. We didn't know the way down and went some 1 km in the wrong way.. We had to come back and after some exploring we found a rock with a sign pointing the way down.. There was a steep rock just in the beginning of the way down.. At first we thought this is not possible as it was too steep.. But some how we managed to climb down the rock and after that it was very simple..

After 7kms of down trekking we reached Girigadhe where there is this bhatra mane who arranged lunch for us.. We had to tell him 2 days in advance for that..
Waiting hungrily for the food at Bhatra Mane.

The food was ok.. But for us who were deprived of good food for 1 complete day, it was tasting very good.. It costed 60Rs per person which was ok as it was in no man's land and it was around 5 to 6 kms trek to reach the town..

From there it was a simple 5 kms trek down.. But Prasanna got injured in-between and it took more than a hour to cover the last 1 km of the trek.. By the time we backmarkers reached Kukke town at around 4.30 PM, Nithin and Raghav had already booked a room.. We went to the room and freshened up..

We went to the Kukke Subramanya temple and thanked god(not me :)) for successfully completing the trek..

Had our dinner and got into the 8.45 PM bus to Bangalore..

Thus ended my first successful trip in a long long time..

A Jobless Trekker..

PS: Haha i myself could not read the complete post and slept in between.. Kudos to all those are reading this :D

Iron Leg Part 2!!

From the day i wrote the Iron Leg post, there were two other trips which were planned and cancelled in the last minute due to various reasons.. All due to the certain Leg mahima :P..

Now now i always used to say 'try try but don't cry'.. So i am giving another chance for my leg to prove otherwise.. This time we have planned for trekking and camping for 2 days.. Even before we started there was some uncertainty due to the ayodhya verdict issue.. I thought even this trip will be cancelled even before starting..

We have not yet started, but i somehow feel that this will go through.. Will it?? Now if the trip is successful there will be a new post on the trip, else there will be Iron Leg part 3 ;)..

Danger Danger!!!

I have been upgrading and re-upgrading my system for the past few years just fearing for this day.. But alas it has nevertheless arrived.. It is on the verge of getting breached.. In the past 6 months it has been compromised not once but twice.. How the hell am i going to stop these breaches?? :(..

Am i so easy to read?? How could they find it out so easily??

No one was successful in forcing me to work till recent past.. If i decide that i won't work then i won't.. If they try to force me to work then gone, there used to be a big fight and one on one meetings and so on.. That is why even though i keep playing games for most of the time in office, no one dared to come and ask me :P..

The first time it happened i thought it was just a small hole in the wall.. Last week i was so frustrated that i went and told my lead that i am not interested to work and i don't want to work for at least 2 weeks(I specified 2 weeks because there was a final release in 2 weeks and i wanted to skip that :D).. He actually accepted saying that it is ok, you can work whenever you want, take rest now :o.. I was so happy that i failed to see it coming..

For almost 2 days i did not open my code even though they were struggling to meet the schedule.. 3rd day i could not stand it.. I went to my lead and said that i can take up the work and finish it.. He did not even ask, i just like a hero went and assured him that i will work..

At that moment i thought this lead is so cunning.. He knew how i am and accepted when i said i wont work.. If he had said something else on that day, i am sure that i would not have worked for these 2 weeks, because once i decide, i wont listen to even myself ;)..

Now if all the leads are going to do the same, then the Jobless days of my life are going to end :(..

In danger of losing my Jobless days,

Goals in lyf!

It has been a long time since my last post.. Basically losing interest in blogging :( and not getting any nice topics to give advice on :P.. Let us see if this post revives the blogger in me ;)..

For the past few days, many people are leaving the company to do higher studies or for better jobs.. I don't know what exactly i am doing in this company.. I too wanted to move on and for that reason i searched every nook and corner of my brain and even kidney, to find if i have any goal in life and not so surprisingly the returns were nil..

Just drew an idiotic sketch about how we approach our goals :)

The girl in the horizon is calling and let us consider her to be the goal :D..

There are some people who just see the girl and jump into the water, even though they don't know to swim, and in the end they fail to reach their goal, as well as lose everything else..

There are some other people who know how to swim, but don't have the strength to swim against the tide and reach the horizon.. They keep on trying fruitlessly and more often than not fail to reach the goal..

Now there are these kind of people who either can't see the girl because he is wearing a coolers during fading light.. even if they see the girl, they complain that she is very far and they don't even try or care.. I fall into this category :P..

You would be wondering, if these are the only type of people, then who the hell will reach their goals.. Actually those persons who do reach their goal are so busy planning and building a raft to reach the girl, that they don't even have time to come in focus :P..

By the time i ended this post, i kind of thought i should have never written this :(.. I didn't understand one bit of what i wrote.. But since i spent some time of my jobless life, i am posting this..

Something we can do..

Before starting, just wanna say that this might be an advice, so those who don't want to read it stop here :).. I never advice people, at least not in this matter.. But since this way i need not tell people directly i am posting this..

I was just seeing this movie Blind Side.. I wouldn't say that the movie is a must watch, but it is a real life story of how a boy gets adopted by a family and how it changes his life.. No i am not asking to adopt a child, because that is too big a commitment for us to take, atleast at this stage of our life.. Hell i am not even going to ask you to donate to charities.. If you are already doing that, great.. Hats off to ya..

There is this simplest thing that everyone of us can atleast try to do.. Don't waste food.. Just try this once and you can see the difference.. It will give immense pleasure to think that you are helping in some way..

We can see daily in cafeteria that so much of food is going to dustbin.. Sometimes the items are be very bad and we can't eat them, but we always have the option of trying a small amount before filling our plates.. Yes this is going to be some extra work for us, but this is not completely impossible is it?.. This might work only in cases of buffet food.. Even in other cases, it is always possible to not go for varieties and just stick to whatever you think might be good there.. I know it is too much to ask.. We always want to try varieties, i myself being a foodie know how tough it will be..
At times we do fill our plates more than what we can eat.. Even this is one place for improvement..

The food wasted on our plates are sure to go to dustbin, but there might be some good enough caterers who donate the extra food which gets wasted after all of us have our share of food.. By this way there is atleast a chance of food not getting wasted and reaching the needy.. The next reason i am going to give might be far fetched, but who knows..

The caterers when they cook, will take into account all these wastages.. So they are always going to cook more than what is really needed.. If we try to avoid these wastages, then they too will re-evaluate the amount of food they need to cook.. This will in turn mean that they need to buy less groceries and vegetables.. This in turn means that the prices of these will fall because of the extra availability.. Which means that they will be available to those who can't afford those items at high prices.. Just think of it in the mass scale and you will understand what i am trying to say..

Don't think that nothing is going to happen if only you are going to do it, because Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean

It doesn't matter if you are eating in a five star hotel or a road side dhaba.. The thing which matters is the food rather than the amount money you spend on it..
So it is not going to be a problem if you want to give treat in good hotels :P.. Don't stop giving treats after reading this :(..

Sorry for all the advice.. But i will be happy if atleast one person tries this..

Just trying to spread something which i like doing,

Iron Leg!!

Nowadays i have become this guy who tries to put everything on his own head.. I have started to think everything that happens around is because of me.. Right now i was supposed to be enjoying a trip to Coorg or Hogenakal, but here i am writing this stupid blog, thinking that the trip didn't happen because of my iron leg :P..

In the past few months none of the trips could be completed due to some freak accidents.. But this time it didn't even start :(.. Those who want to go on a successful trip better not invite me..

A Jobless Idiot..

PS: This was not such a bad weekend after all.. I rode a bike :D(why do they need a clutch huh).. I taught my friend to read Telugu( :P I myself don't know much) and in the process brushed up my reading skills :)..

Captain vs Balayya..

All the contents of this post are real and there is no usage of dupes during the shooting of these videos.. This is going to be the war of the century..I am not able to predict who is going to win this battle of the titans.. Let the show begin.. Njoy the show off for supremacy :P..

It begins with both showcasing their skills on bullets..

First up is Captain..

Wow Captain you are a superhuman.. Now it is balayya's turn, lets see what he has got in store

Ohh no he messed it up the first time.. But the stunt was worth a 2nd try isn't it?

Next up they will show us their magical skills by moving bodies without touching them..

It is going to be Balayya who is longing to go first,

Hmm a gr8 trick i say.. I am not sure anyone else in this world can do that.. Let us see what Captain has to say on this..

OMG the reply is short and powerful..

Now it seems they want to show us some random skills..

I seriously doubt if even Microsoft has found out such a feature in their WM player.. Hats off to captain for that..

Woah woah Balayya that is too dangerous, we know that you want to win but plz don't take risks for such silly show offs.. You have so many hard core fans out there.. anyayam chesi velipokandi..

Captain never ceases to amaze us.. That was brilliant..

Wait a moment!.. :( this is bad news.. We are getting some flash news that Balayya is seriously injured while performing the previous stunt and he wont be able to participate any further.. Thus the show comes to an end abruptly without us being able to decide the winner.. Both were awesome, but we are going to miss such a healthy competition.. Get well soon balayya..

Now we are leaving it to the viewers to decide on the winner of this amazing clash of the titans..

Wow what an amazing commentary by the blogger.. Hats off to him as well.. ;) :D :P

Waiting for brick bats and goonda fans :(,
A frightened Jobless person..

The URrrrr!! man..

:P don't take the title seriously :(..

Look there! some one is coming.. Is that Super-man?, is that Bat-man?, is that spider-man?.. Nooo it is our own URrrrr!! man.. Actually he's not coming, but leaving :(.. Today was his last day in office.. Though i am happy that he's leaving to pursue his dreams, the 'Pada' batch will miss him in office..

It was the summer of 2007, when 5 high flying freshers were asked to form a team.. The team comprised of a manager, a lead and us 5.. There was this one guy who was very calm, didn't talk much, and you can say on seeing him only once that he is a workaholic.. he used to work so much that, in our mini project he did at-least 2 times the amount of work which the other 4 combined did.. Seeing this i secretly went to my manager and told him that i wanted to work with him in the next project as well :P :D.. But my bad luck i didn't have my passport ready and he travelled on-site and for the next 2 years, it happened so that we could not interact much..

The 'Pada' batch
Last year around this time, a group was started which revolutionised the way time can be wasted in office.. He was an integral part of this revolutionary group.. The creation of the group was no easy task though.. I had to terrorize people saying that i will remove the USB power cable if they don't come, and actually i had done it many times.. Sometimes it so happened that they did not save the work they did and they had to redo whatever junk work they were doing.. In some days only the word 'Pada' was enough to get them move their asses..

The next 4-5 month's were any manager's nightmare.. We used to spend at least an hour and half for breakfast, an hour for lunch and 2 hours for snacks.. In between all this there used to be a pantry meeting every 30 mins..

This guy is a fitness freak :P.. before he started to come to Gym, he used to run in his room.. Those who have seen people run on treadmill can imagine the scene.. Just remove the treadmill from that.. :D i still laugh imagining that scene..

He used to give lots of gyan, though nowadays he has stopped.. They wouldn't mean a thing, but he did not give up..
If God didn't want us to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?
and during our farming days
Life on a farm is a school of patience; you can't hurry the crops or make an ox in two days.
There are three easy ways of losing money - racing is the quickest, women the most pleasant, and farming the most certain.

Ohh i forgot to mention, he is such a great poet.. he rocked at everything.. here are some of the samples

"Kolkata is the city of joy"...
During a walk along a Kolkata street,
I will tell you the sights that my eyes meet.
As you know Kolkatans love to eat,
I see a crowded shop famous for its sweet meats.
As I continue my walk, I hear the ringing of a bell,
The evening prayer is going on by this you can tell.
As I hurry on, I see a common sight,
A group of boys playing cricket with all their might.
Then I see two children coming home from school,
They concentrate on jumping in every mud pool.
As I hurried away from there, I saw a pretty scene,
I saw herds of cattle as they grazed away on the green.
Except for a few mistakes, untouched its beauty,
To look after it is every Kolkatans duty.
Now I hurry home through the streets,
These are a few more sights that my eyes meet.

and his finest
Hurrah! It's vacation time!
To rest with a cup of lime.
Thanks to Ugadi...
It made the office close jaldi..
Working a little will do good to all,
Or else we'll be of no good like an airless ball!
This is the time, this is the season
To have fun without any reason..
Hurrah! It's vacation time!

These are just the sample of the person.. There is no way a blog post will be enough..

Wishing you best of luck and have a great future ahead and plsss don't come back to this company :P..

Dreamzzz!!!

Thanks to Christopher Nolan most of us would be thinking about what exactly are these dreams.. Even though i have not watched the movie yet, i kept on hearing the word 'Dream' for the past few days and i kind of got curious about what exactly is the concept behind dream.. So i googled the word dream and got a whopping 274,000,000 results.. hmmm i am not a fool to go through so many results just for writing an idiotic blog :P..

I thought wikipedia might help and according to it,
A dream is a succession of images, sounds or emotions which the mind experiences during sleep..
, Then followed a load of bull crap.. It seems dreams are messages from gods, dead people.. ya right these gods have so much time to come into our dreams.. I skipped this and went to the technical part, dreams happen only during Rapid Eye Movement(REM) sleep.. It was so boring that i skipped that as well.. By the time i came to the end of the page i had skipped almost everything and i got to know nothing about this dream thing..

Then i realized that no one has ever come up with a good theory of how a dream works.. Here comes the moment for a genius like me to write a thesis on dream.. So i worked my noodles(Thanks to a friend for such a wonderful quote :D) and came up with my own theory on dreams.. Be prepared to be amazed by the startling revelation of the truth :D..

A group of virtual worlds exists and run in parallel with the real world.. A person usually dreams when he feels the need to visit his own-self who exists in other virtual worlds.. In these virtual worlds there are no reflections, so you will never see yourselves in your own dream.. All the characters and things in this real world exist in the virtual ones but the shape and size of these characters might vary in different virtual worlds.. So you might see the same person as a samurai in one virtual world and a beast in another one..

There are chances that two person have the same dream.. It just means that they visit the same virtual world at the same time and they somehow meet in that virtual world.. Some virtual worlds are so connected to the real world that the actions performed in the virtual world are repeated in the real world and that results in sleep talking, sleep walking and so on.. These ghosts, dragons, mummies are nothing but people existing in different forms in different worlds..

OMG i have become a mental... i think it is better to stop writing blogs :(...

Nearing the end of his blogging days :'(,

Sorry!!

If you are a fan of Captain vijayakant then you might remember this dialogue
Tamizhla enakku pudikaadha ore vaartha mannippu
or if you are a gult then you might know the dialogue
Telugu lo naaku nachani padam okkate - kshaminchandi..
no this post is not about those movies..

Some days back one of my friends had posted this
Apologizing doesn't mean that You are wrong and the other is right... It only means that You value the relationship much more than your ego
It is so damn right.. It takes a lot of heart to say sorry and even more if you believe that you did nothing wrong.. Believe me it just works like magic.. Most of us melt when we hear the word sorry..
But the thing is that in most scenarios this ego comes ahead of sorry and ruins everything.. If you really care about the person then cast away that ego.. most of the differences will be very silly, it is high time you apologize before it snow-bowls into a huge one.. It need not be your mistake.. Just try it once and see the difference..

Apologizing for any mistakes done,
A Jobless person.

PS: It doesn't work in all situations though, but it is worth trying :D..

When things go wrong..

This is not a time pass post.. This is written as a small note of thanks to all those who helped us when we were in need.. This just shows that there are many people around who help people in need, rather than thinking that it is not their thing.. Before starting i am happy to say that everything is fine and nothing serious has happened on a day when many things could have gone wrong..

It was supposed to be a nice road trip.. But freak accidents do happen.. Last time it was me and i was lucky to escape with just 7 stitches.. This time it was 2 of our friend's turn.. Luckily both were wearing helmets and it really saved the day.. I just am not able to imagine the situation we would have been if they were not wearing helmets..
plzz plzz wear helmets while riding a bike..

We were riding ahead of those guys and we wouldn't even be knowing that they had a fall, but thanks to the passers-by who were kind enough to stop and make a call to us.. They even called for an ambulance and waited till we went there.. Thanks to all those people who helped us there.. Please don't ignore when you face such a situation..

Everyone in Bangalore will blame the traffic out here.. But even in this heavy traffic, there were many people who helped us go through the traffic.. They were helping in clearing the way for us, they were guiding us.. I was really happy to see that.. They were thinking of helping us, even though it meant that it might delay them and the number of people like that were significant..

But there were some people who were trying to extract money even in this situation.. But it is ok, in the end everything ended well and i just want to wish those two a speedy recovery..

Whole heartedly thanking everyone who helped us,
A Jobless well wisher..

A weird little dream

I woke up today to find myself in some alien land.. I was sure that i had been to this land before, but could not recall how it was, i kind of know the reason for me to not able to recall anything about that place.. I wanted the dream to continue, so i stopped thinking about the past :o..

I was not able to decide whether the place was heaven or hell.. I could see some people longing for my blood, but at the same time i could see some people dressed in white, similar to how we know from movies that those in heaven always dress in white..

I was being fed just like how a bali bakra is fed before it is sacrificed, they were applying some weird paste on me similar to how they apply on chicken before they roast it..i ran like anything to escape from there.. When i was about to confirm it is indeed hell, i could see angels all over the place.. I was getting frustrated because i could not find out what place it was..

At that precise moment, i heard a voice.. "Mr.Vineeth all your tests are over and you can get the results after 5 hours.." Now i was able to figure out everything.. It was not a dream :P.. I had been to Appolo clinic, Koramangala for medical check-up.. Mentioning the area is necessary because those who visited that particular clinic can visualize the heaven with all the angels ;)..

Since the dream was over and i had 5 hrs to pass time, had a nice chicken dum biriyaani, went to Forum and bought a wallet worth, wait for it.... 700 bucks :(.. i am such a poor shopper.. i bought my previous wallet at a 1$ shop in korea.. Then spent the longest 2 hrs in a cinema hall watching lamhaa.. :( my roomie had already watched inception so we had to chose that one..

Then came the time for the results.. There are supposed to be 2 consultations, 1 with the dietician and other physician.. First i went to the dietician, she saw the results and was like OMG this is the most perfect report i am seeing in a long time.. :P i started visualizing myself as the Mr.Perfect all know me as.. I told i eat a lot of chocolates and sweet and she started pleading me to stop eating chocolates and sweets.. it seems in the future there might be some problems.. She was scolding me when i told that i stopped going to gym.. Generally dietician consultation takes less than 5 mins.. she didn't leave me for more than 15 mins :P :D ;).. I didn't even go to physician after that, i was satisfied with the perfect guy thing :)..

All the characters in this post are real and there is no fiction :D..

Bangalore is too damn costly..

I was just reviewing my blogs, similar to our own artifact reviews and i was appalled to find that most of them were personal.. i was greatly disappointed because, i wanted this blog to spread social awareness and improve the general knowledge of the countless jobless people visiting this blog :P.. so here i am spreading awareness about Bangalore :D

I will just try to compare some aspects of Bangalore with Chennai.. I am comparing with Chennai because that is one of the only 2 cities where i have lived considerable amount of time, the other one being Allahabad which i don't even consider as a city.. it is a panchayat..

The general conception people have about Bangalore is that it is too costly.. It is not a misconception though.. But the thing is that most of them solely blame it on auto walas.. With my experience in chennai i can say that Bangalore auto walas are too good.. Around 70% of them charge based on meters and they kind of have a fixed rate of 1.5 times during odd hours.. you know what, auto walas in chennai dont even install meters, they say that it is waste of money.. You are totally at their mercy, one guy asked 80 bucks for 4 kms.. this was at a non-it, non-posh north chennai, if you go to south chennai then gone..

The main problem with Bangalore is this government run BMTC services.. OMG they charge so much, that people think autos are better.. Last week-end when i went to Chennai, i boarded a bus from bus stand to my area.. it is roughly around 12kms.. i gave 2 10rs notes to the conductor and asked for a ticket forgetting that i was in chennai.. the ticket actually costed 4.5rs.. I was kind of calculating the amount of profits this BMTC will be getting.. There are 4 different types of bus services and the cost varies based on that, and the frequency of each service is distributed properly.. It is not like the cheap buses will be having torn seats and all, it just varies based on the number of stops..

Hmmm actually there are many other points as well.. but the post will become too long and boring.. :P i know that it is already boring.. and i am feeling too sleepy to continue.. Awareness on Bangalore can wait for some other day ;)..

bye to all from
A jobless sleeping beauty.. :D

Breaking news!!.. I am a nice and innocent guy..

I donno why and how.. But every one seems to think so.. :P

Some days back i went to a post office. I was standing in a line and it was kind of crowded and all were pushing around.. Me being me, i don't like such pushing around, so i came out of the line and was standing for some time.. But the guy who was issuing the forms saw me and called me to the desk and gave me the form.. The rest of them were still fighting and pushing around.. This was not an isolated incident.. It has happened at many places ;)..

Even during school days, me and my friend used to copy with a book under the desk.. but whenever our teacher catches us, he was the one who used to get punished.. They would never believe that i copied..

The most funniest part is my parents think that i am a really good guy :P.. I kind of started early with smoking and drinking :D.. started during school days.. And i am the kind of guy who used to tell almost everything and i told about this as well.. But they did not believe me.. even after 8 years and almost 20-30 times of confession, they still don't believe that i used to drink and smoke.. They still think that i am joking around about it :(..

Office is another classical example.. I work the least out of all those in office.. I always play games, read manga, and go around disturbing people.. Even though my managers and leads see me playing and not doing work, they praise me in meetings.. Last year i got the highest rating and in the appraisal meeting i was arguing with my manager saying that i don't deserve this rating and there are many others who deserve this more than me.. But he said that it is my modesty to say that i don't deserve and according to him i thoroughly deserved that rating :P..

I hate doing documents, presentations and so on.. I was once asked to do some presentation on something which i don't even remember now.. I wanted to do it so that they would never ask me to do any kind of documentation.. i thought i did a good work at doing a bad ppt.. :P i used clouds in flow chart and used all bright colours and did the worst possible presentation.. but to my horror my manager was praising me for that.. it seems using clouds was so innovative :(.. They were showing this to others and praising it..

I forgot one more instance :D...
This was during my campus interview, and i was asked a simple question about recursive function and to the interviewers horror, i could not answer even that.. but one thing is during HR interview the korean who did my interview was much impressed by my boldness.. i told him that i will leave this company to get another job on gaming development.. but that never happened though :(.. I still could not understand how i got into this company :P.. should i be happy or sad about that..

Is there no way i can be considered a bad guy?? I was trying so hard for the past few months in office and i was given a spot award for that :o.. hehe do i deserve a spot award?? hell no..

But this is good right.. i do all kind of things but i still come out unscathed being the nice guy, just like Mr.perfect of arya2 fame ;)..

Still the same old
Mr.Perfect Jobless guy.

Yeh dil maange more!! But why??

No, this is not a PEPSI commercial..

I was just thinking about why corruption exists in this world.. Corruption exists because people are never satisfied with what they have.. They always want more.. And i found out the root cause of this corruption :P.. No kidding, the main reason for corruption are parents :o..

This is how it starts.. When they want their kid to buy some groceries they go like,
Baabu, can you go and buy these groceries for mamma?
When the kid says that he wont then they start bribing.
Buy chocolates with whatever money is left in that..
Now now, which kid can reject such an offer huh..

This doesn't stop there.. When their kids go to school,
If you get 1st rank in your class i will buy u a video game..

If you get 1st class in your 10th exams i will buy u a cycle..

If you get into good college i will buy u a bike..
and this continues on.. Ya right.. start bribing your children from the moment they are born and start blaming that this country is corrupted..

The children are brought up such that by the time they live on their own, they are bribed at each and every step.. Now how can we expect them to work without taking a bribe..

So the whole problem lies with the way parents bring up their kids.. So friends, the thing is our generation cannot be changed.. So enjoy taking bribes and live your life.. but make sure that you pluck the roots, by bringing up your children without bribery, even if it means that they won't help you or won't study well, so that at least next generation will be free of corruption.. These sacrifices are a must for the sake of this country :P..

Woww i am giving advice to improve our country.. hehehe..

Yohohohoho yoho yoho

3!!!

The title doesn't make any sense, does it?

hmmm, this is the number which defines my resume.. yes i would be having 3 years of work experience by tomorrow, and that too in the same company.. No one would have thought they will be working in the same company for 3 long years, not in this company at-least.. Many would be dreaming about getting a job in this company which is such a global name and pays heftily compared to many others.. Even though i did not exactly dream like that, but i was more than happy on the first day i came to this office..

This is how my last 3 years kind of went by..

Wow this campus is cool, facing the lake and all..

Wow there are so many of them joining with me..

Wow i am going to stay in diamond district for the 1st month(those who stayed there will be knowing why i 'wow'ed)..

Wow for the first week, where we enjoyed completely..

Wowwwwwwwww i found my first love :)..

Wow, the training at aprameyah, playing games and enjoying..

Wow, i was taken into a team and the manager was a gult (thought that communication wont be a problem.. i never talked to him in Telugu though :P)..

Wow travelling to Korea.. Actually double wow because she was also travelling on the same day to Korea ;)..

Wow enjoyed the first trip out of India without much work..

Wow got the same work(Media player), which i was already muddling with just for time pass..

Wow bought an apartment in Bangalore..

Wow got 1 rating..

Wow was asked to apply for US visa (I just wanted to travel and roam around.. But later was very happy that i did not travel :P)..

Here started the slide.. From this point onward there was hardly any wow moment..
Started fighting with my manager..
Started rejecting all the work assigned to me..
Got rejected even though i never proposed..
Did not get good increment..
Started applying for other jobs but never really got any closer to quitting this company..
Started losing interest in work.. It has been months since i did work with my own interest.. yes i did enjoy my work during media player days..

And here i am still in the same company doing the same thing, without any idea of what is next.. Tomorrow is a small step of 3 years.. Who knows how many such steps i ll climb in this company :(.. In a handful of years i can become the VP of this company ;)..

I seriously hope that doesn't happen though..

The only good thing to happen in the past 3 years is that i got some good friends :P..

Signing off,
A truly Jobless person..

FIFA World Cup 2010..

Here we are on the day of the finals.. Whatever may happen today.. History will be created.. It will be a first for both the countries and the first time a European champion will be crowned outside their own continent..Both the countries will be ranked one and two depending on the results pushing Brazil down to 3rd.. This past one month i was fully busy following the matches and it even pushed Wimbledon to the background(Tennis kinda being my favourite sport)..

Here are some of the important moments of this world cup till now.. Today's match will create more such moments for sure, with the kind of players involved.. Will add those later after the match.. Before starting that i was so much impressed by the no nonsense style of play by Uruguay and especially by Forlan.. Before this world cup i didn't know who was Forlan, but after seeing him play and his curling free kicks, i could not help but remember two great curlers of the ball, Beckham and Ronaldinho.. He is surely my man of the World cup..

Maradonna - What can anyone say about this over reacting guy.. he is so full of himself or should i say he never believed in his team, that even before the WC kicked off he gave a statement saying that he will run naked if Argentina win the cup..

Italy and France - I kind of predicted that these two teams have no chance of reaching the knock-out stages of this WC and it came true..

England - Here is one team which was so much hyped by the British media.. It is not that they did not have substance, but they were not able to bring it on to the field.. One single mistake by Robert Green which many were blaming on Jabulani made sure that they did not top the group, and missed a relatively easier path to semi-finals. Not that they would have reached semis that way, but it was way easier than facing germany in the pre-quarters..

It is the first time that a host nation did not reach the knock out stages of WC and only one out of 6 African teams reached the Knock out stage..

When the 1st round of games finished, everyone started saying that South American teams are going to dominate and it will be a Brazil - Argentina finals.. But in the end the top 3 places are occupied by European teams with Uruguay being the only saving grace..

The top 3 players this season according to club form namely Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney were not able to carry their club form to their country scoring just one goal in between them..

There were too many refereeing errors which ultimately cost the match for some teams,
The first one being the England - German match, which was completely ridiculous with the ball falling 2 yards inside the goal line.. The match might have been completely different..

One more being the first goal of Argentina - Mexico match. The match was evenly poised till that time, when Tevez who was completely offside scored the first one..

There were many more like Kaka's red card, Fabiabo's double hand ball..

Argentina got their asses whooped by Young Germans in the Quarters by a 4 - nil margin..

Robben proved that just by diving and creating panic in the opposition, better teams can be beaten.. Brazil were obviously the better team on that day buy got beaten 2 - 1 due to a red card..

Suarez - This guy is claiming his hand to be the new hand of god.. Actually that is true, if not for him they never would have reached the semis.. He did the job of the goalie during the last kick of the match.. He was red carded and a penalty was given to Ghana. But Gyan was not able to convert it and Ghana lost it in shoot out..

The two losing semi finalists were missing an important player each in the semis.. Suarez for Uruguay and Mueller for Germany.. They could have made a lot of difference to the outcome as the matches were pretty much evenly fought even without them..

Forlan ended his world cup with a curling free kick which just caught the crossbar in the third place play off..

It maybe because of Jabulani or maybe the quality of national football just doesn't match the club football.. But too many spot kicks were missed, too many one on one situations squandered, too many goal keeping errors and too many shots hitting the crossbar..

I did not watch all 12 am start matches so i might have missed many things.. But these are the things which mattered the most.. Hope the finals will be a cracker of a match..

How could i forget octopus paul whose predictions were all true.. it ll be 100% if Spain wins today..

Itz raining!!!!!

Yatta... It is raining cats and dogs!! .. Who doesn't like to get drenched in rain? huh..

Yesterday, i got drenched in rain while going to office.. the consequences were pretty bad.. I got cold, sore throat, fever.. but the worst of all, i had to miss the team lunch @ barbecue nation.. Instead of eating grilled fish, fried chicken and mouth watering yummy gulab jaamoons, i had to be content with plain bread and crocin :'(..

Now it is raining again.. Heavier than yesterday.. Who cares.. I wanted to get drenched again without even the slightest worry about my condition.. i still have fever and cold :(.. There i went into the streets without an umbrella with four choices in mind.. Every sane person would want to have one of these when it is raining..

--> Garam garam chaai
--> Hot hot mirapakai bhajji
--> Spicy sweet corn and last but not least my favourite during rainy season
--> Ice-cream

I was not able to make a choice out of these.. So here i am completely drenched, having eaten all those mentioned and completely satisfied..

Just hope that i don't fall ill again and lie on my bed for the next few days.. Even if i fall ill, hope that there are no team lunches/ treats on Monday so that i won't miss any more jaamoons..

Twilight

Reading this book was solely possible due to the countless night outs i did working hard for my company.. You might be confused as to how these are related to each other.. Hmm yeah with a sense of accomplishment, i am proud to say that i was given a spot award for single handedly completing my module not once but twice.. I am not sure which hand i used to complete it, but my other hand was busy playing games during office hours which is kind of my main profession.. The reason for me getting the award was different, though this is what was written on my award.. So who cares, i got the award and a sapna book house coupon worth 1000 bucks as monetary reward..

The main protagonist of this book is Bella(Isabella swan).. The whole story is seen through the eyes of Bella.. This is the story of Bella a shy regular girl who has the knack of getting into dangerous situations without herself knowing and Edward, a vampire who is the kind of perfect guy every girl wants..

The story starts with Bella moving from Phoenix to a small town Forks, which is too damp to her liking.. She joins high school, where she meets Edward and instantly gets attracted to him.. The romance blooms as Bella gets into danger too often and there he is to save the day as always.. At first Edward tries to avoid her for obvious reasons that a vampire is a blood thirsty being and he fears that he could not control himself.. But as time passes by he simply cannot avoid her.. He starts telling her all the secrets about himself and his family..

Then suddenly out of nowhere enters the antagonist, James another vampire who was hyped so much, that i expected a lot from him.. His part in the story could have been extended a bit.. And the end where Bella spills a drop of blood and one of Edwards family member tries to attack her was kind of unnecessary.. There are some characters introduced which are supposed to be used in the sequel.. That was unnecessary since they had too little a role in this book..

Overall the book is a nice read.. Even though the story is simple and kind of predictable, nowhere did i feel bored.. There are no over the edge action scenes in it.. It was kind of disappointing in that sense, since a vampire story is supposed to be that..

He-he those who want to read a gripping suspense novel can skip this one.. Waiting to read the next one in the series..

Bye for now,
cheers,
A jobless person..

Jst for continuity :P

hmm i thought of writing this just to make sure that i wont rust(This is how good my English is :() and for the sake of continuity..

This Wednesday we had a team outing.. Before the outing i was thinking that this will be a fun trip and i can write a blog about it.. To my horror the outing was very bad, at least for me and i was not in the mood to write on that day..

So this blog is not about the outing in general, but a small doubt that creeped into my mind on that day..

Lazy River: The definition of lazy river according to wiki is as follows..
generally a slow current, usually just enough to allow guests to gently ride along lying on rafts

Here gently is the key.. I am not sure who gave it this name.. But every time i went, no one was allowed to gently ride in the lazy river.. The only reason anyone wants to go to lazy river is to make sure others fall from their tubes and they will be keeping count of that.. I was also not different from them.. I too did the same, that is making sure that no one enjoys the lazy river and in the process made one of my friend almost cry :P.. This is not funny you know :(..

So, Adhyeksha nenu anedi enti ante, idhi lazy river kaadhu, indhulo dhigina prajalu sukanga undatledu, idhi ruling party vaalu chesina kutra.. aimoolanga nenu anedhi enti ante, nijaalu prajalaki theliyaali.. Ee lazy river peru maarchi stumble down river ani pettali ani manavi cheskuntunna.. Adhyeksha ila ganaka cheyaka pothe maa party vaala tho nenu walk out chestaanu..

Summary in english is simple, change the name from lazy river to stumble down river :D..

Wow what a post.. This is what you can expect from a person who is basically poor at everything he does..
